I am in KOREA!

More spicy food & shaved ice.

Today, I met up with my high school friend from California, and we ate dduk-bok-gi (spicy rice cake) at yup-ghi-dduk-bok-gi. According to my friend, this place is known for how spicy their rice cakes are. I was super excited when I got to this place. It was good, but I was a bit disappointed 😦 It wasn’t spicy enough.

Afterwards, we went to LGA cafe and ordered melon shaved ice for dessert! I usually don’t eat dessert after my meals, but lately, I’ve been eating a lot of desserts. A LOT. I miss eating at home. So, I will stay home for the next two days and rest up.

It was fun walking around and observing what the vendors were selling. My mom and I came back home with a lot of street food! We bought banana lumpia, chicken & pork bbq, fried lumpia, shrimp patties, and carioka (Is that right? I forgot what it was called). Anyways, they were delicious!!

Later that day, I told my mom that I wanted some coconut.. and guess what? She got me 16 of them! Yes, 16 coconuts. Haha she is adorable.

I finished the day off with a “shaved ice surprise” from Mt. Lam Lam Sno n Ice Cream. I got pina colada, watermelon, and pineapple flavor. Yum! It was just perfect for the hot weather 🙂
